Job Description:  The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing, building, and maintaining relationships with new customers.  They will also be a key asset in understanding new market trends, technology, and will serve as a key contributor in determining new avenues for growth and advancement outside of current markets.  This may include both DoD and commercial markets.  Collaborates with customers to create technical solutions for their needs, collaborating from initial requirements to sales generation.  Must be energetic, have the ability to communicate at all levels; verbally and written; as well as be able to conduct executive meetings and presentations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, trends, and new technologies
  • Building business relationships with potential customers
  • Developing targeted capture strategies
  • Creating informative presentations; Presenting and delivering information to potential customers at their locations, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences
  • Responding to client requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Creating and maintaining a database of prospect customers and associated forecasts
  • Maintaining short- and long-term business development plans
  • Qualifying leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows, etc.
  • Generating new leads and prospecting accounts
  • Writing business proposals
  • Negotiating with stakeholders
  • Coordinating with team members and facilitating collaboration internally
  • Develops appropriate technical solution recommendations to meet customer needs
  • Works with other teams within RADA Technologies LLC to include: engineering, marketing, finance among others to meet customer needs and support customer requirements
  • Approx. 50% travel
  • Significant written and verbal communications skills
  • Expected to meet or exceed all business objectives defined by management

Experience:   A strong candidate will hold a degree in Business Management, Engineering, or other related fields.  Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in business development activities in related DoD technology disciplines.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Have an in-depth understanding of DoD acquisition processes
  • Experience with lead generation and prospect management
  • Preferred to have existing relationships with major DoD commands related to ground-based radar acquisition
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers
  • Persuasive and goal-oriented
  • Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • In-depth understanding of company services and its position in the industry
  • Able to work accurately under stress and pressure to meet competing deadlines
  • Demonstrated and proven sales results
  • Ability to think creatively and adapt to change
  • Be a US citizen capable of attaining a US Security Clearance. Candidates already in possession of a clearance are preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel (primarily domestic) as required
  • Be located in the Maryland/Greater Washington DC area
  • Must be able to negotiate and problem-solve.
  • Knowledge of current marketing, advertising trends, and best practices.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrable business acumen and a deep understanding of business sales processes
